Yoon Hyun-Seo

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to verify the whitening effect of algae by using the rainy season as a preclinical step to develop functional whitening detergent using algae.

Method: The algae were stained for 7 days using algae, and the sample was treated over 14 days for 24 hours. The tooth color was measured using VITA Easyshade V.

Results: The color changes depending on the type of beverage, coffee, green tea, or grape juice were highest for coffee. As shown, leaf Kosiregi and green gold continued to brighten on the 14th day. The amount of color change was most effective in the green seaweed regardless of its concentration, and in the order of starfish, leaf stalk, and spine. The higher the concentration of the sample, the better the whitening effect.
The higher the concentration of turnips, the higher the color change was, at 100 for foliar and green laver at 250.

Conclusion: Therefore, as a result of this study, there was a difference in the concentration and application time of the four kinds of seaweeds, but all showed a tooth whitening effect.
